More than just a roof outlet, JAS Siphonic is an innovative solution designed to provide efficient and sustainable rainwater management for buildings.
JAS Siphonic Roof Drain
The JAS Siphonic roof drain combines a simple design with advanced engineering based on fluid mechanics. Its signature Anti-Vortex Plate helps prevent air from entering the drainage system, allowing the pipework to flow at full capacity and generate the siphonic effect required for efficient rainwater drainage.
The system’s design concept draws inspiration from natural flow patterns, in which materials move and accumulate in response to surrounding forces.
Three-Stage Flow Design
The roof outlet manages water through three flow stages, helping it reach full capacity quickly and initiate the siphonic effect at a water depth of only 25 mm.
Reduced Risk of Clogging
The JAS Siphonic roof outlet features an optimized inlet gap that allows water to enter at velocities of 1–6 m/s, creating a self-cleansing effect that helps reduce the risk of clogging.
Flexible System Design
By operating at full-bore flow, the JAS Siphonic system can convey rainwater at higher velocities than conventional gravity drainage systems. This can reduce the number and size of roof outlets and downpipes, providing greater flexibility in pipe routing and building design.
