THAI PEX Piping System
THAI PEX Piping System
PEX, or cross-linked polyethylene, is a modern piping alternative for water systems within buildings. It is suitable for plumbing, hot-water distribution, air-conditioning systems, and radiant heating and cooling applications, including floor and ceiling systems.
Technical Specifications
Applications: Potable water systems, hot-water systems, and radiant cooling systems
Operating Temperature: 3-95°C*
Operating Pressure: Up to 10 bar*
Manufacturing Standards: BS 15875, AS/NZS 2492
Hygiene Standard: AS/NZS 4020
*Operating temperature and pressure are subject to the specified service conditions
Why Choose THAI PEX?
Easy Installation
Lightweight and flexible, THAI PEX pipes can be bent to suit different installation layouts. This helps reduce the number of fittings required. No adhesive or welding is needed, allowing for faster and more convenient installation.
Reduced Risk of Leakage
The flexibility of the piping helps minimize the number of connection points, particularly around bends, reducing potential areas where leakage may occur.
Manufactured to Recognized Standards
THAI PEX is manufactured in accordance with the standards specified in its product certification. Selected models comply with AS/NZS 4020 requirements for products in contact with drinking water and carry WaterMark certification.
Wide Range of Fittings
A variety of fittings is available, including press fittings and brass fittings, supporting connections to different fixtures and equipment for both hot- and cold-water systems.
Hygienic and Corrosion-Free
THAI PEX does not rust or develop scale caused by metal corrosion. It is suitable for water systems within buildings when the appropriate certified product model is selected.
Long Service Life
Designed for a service life of up to 50 years when operated within the specified temperature, pressure, and service conditions in accordance with applicable standards and the manufacturer’s recommendations.
10-Year Product Warranty
Backed by a 10-year product warranty, subject to the company’s warranty terms and conditions.
Reduced Heat Transfer
PEX has lower thermal conductivity than metal piping, helping reduce heat transfer and heat loss in hot-water systems. Insulation requirements should be determined according to the operating conditions and project specifications.
